About Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Görgün
After graduating from İstanbul Beşiktaş Atatürk Anadolu High School, he completed medical school at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. During his studies he trained in general surgery at Universität Giessen in Germany.
He graduated with honors in 2009 and began orthopedic residency at İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2011. After five years of training he became an Orthopedics and Traumatology specialist in 2016.
He then worked in hand surgery and microsurgery at Rhön Klinikum, Klinik für Handchirurgie in Bad Neustadt, Germany, and successfully completed the TOTEK Orthopedics Board Exam.
After compulsory service in Patnos, Ağrı (2017–2018), he joined Ortopediatri Pediatric Orthopedics Academy in 2018 and also served as team doctor for Turkey’s U18 Men’s National Basketball Team.
