A single bone segment is usually planned for about 5–8 cm. The amount that can be achieved depends on bone structure, flexibility, and the treatment plan.
Both are motorized nail systems placed inside the bone. Their technical features and suitability for each patient differ; the method is chosen individually after the surgeon’s assessment.
The lengthening period lasts several months, depending on the target amount. A consolidation phase follows as the bone strengthens. Return to daily life and sport follows a different timeline for each patient.
